PROJECTS

Wind Energy Project

The Project consist in development and operation of 120 MW wind farm, located in South-Eastern part of Romania, in one of the most suitable areas for this type of projects, due to its great wind potential.

Developing a 120MW wind farm involved a series of complex steps and considerations that our company managed:

Site Selection and Assessment:

  • Identify potential sites with suitable wind resources for the project.

  • Perform wind studies and environmental assessments to understand the feasibility of the site.

Permitting and Regulatory Compliance:

Obtain the necessary permits and approvals from local, state, and federal authorities.

Ensure compliance with environmental and land use regulations.

Land Acquisition:

Secure the land required for the wind farm through lease agreements or purchase.

Resource Assessment:

Conduct a detailed wind resource assessment to confirm the wind speeds and directions at various heights.

Financial Planning:

Develop a comprehensive financial model, including cost estimates, revenue projections, and financing strategies.

Turbine Selection:

Select appropriate wind turbine models based on site-specific conditions, including wind patterns and terrain.

Grid Connection:

Plan for grid interconnection and secure the necessary agreements with local utilities.

Engineering and Design:

Develop detailed engineering plans for the wind farm's layout and infrastructure.

Environmental Impact Assessment:

Assess the environmental impact of the project and develop mitigation strategies.

Construction Contracts:

Select contractors for the construction phase through competitive bidding processes.

Negotiate contracts and establish a project timeline.

Construction:

Build access roads, install foundations, erect turbines, and connect them to the electrical grid.

Testing and Commissioning:

Test the wind turbines and the overall system for performance and safety.

Ensure all equipment operates as designed.

Operation and Maintenance (O&M):

Develop an O&M plan for ongoing maintenance and monitoring of the wind farm.

Train personnel and establish a maintenance schedule.

Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs):

Secure long-term power purchase agreements with off-takers (utilities or other buyers) to ensure revenue stability.

Monitoring and Reporting:

Implement a system for continuous monitoring of wind farm performance.

Submit required reports to regulatory authorities.

Community Engagement:

Engage with the local community, addressing concerns and providing benefits where possible.

Insurance and Risk Management:

Obtain insurance coverage for potential risks, such as equipment failure or damage.

Compliance and Reporting:

Continuously monitor and report on environmental, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Long-Term Operations and Upgrades:

Plan for the long-term operations of the wind farm and consider upgrades or repowering options as technology advances.

Photovoltaic Projects

The company develops ready-to-build photovoltaic projects in areas such as Olt, Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinti, Oradea, Arges with total capacities ranging from 14.2 MW to 50 MW.

Developing a ready-to-build photovoltaic (PV) project up to 50 MW involves several key steps. Here's a general overview of the main phases and tasks involved:

Project Feasibility Study:

  • Site Selection: Identify suitable locations with good solar irradiance, available land, and proximity to electrical infrastructure.

  • Resource Assessment: Conduct a solar resource assessment to estimate the energy production potential.

Permitting and Approvals:

Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local, state, and federal authorities, which may include environmental impact assessments, land use permits, and grid interconnection agreements.

Land Acquisition:

Acquire the land for the project, either through purchase or lease agreements.

Engineering and Design:

Detailed engineering and design of the PV system, including layout, module and inverter selection, and electrical design.

Structural analysis to ensure the system can withstand environmental conditions.

Financing:

Secure project financing, which can come from a combination of equity, debt, grants, and incentives.

Interconnection and Grid Connection:

Work with the utility company to finalize grid connection agreements and obtain the necessary permits and approvals.

Equipment Procurement:

Procure the PV modules, inverters, mounting structures, and other necessary equipment.

Construction:

Build the PV system, including site preparation, mounting structures installation, electrical wiring, and connection to the grid.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Commissioning:

Test and commission the entire PV system to ensure it is operating as designed.

Verify that the electrical connections, monitoring systems, and safety measures are functioning correctly.

Operations and Maintenance (O&M):

Develop an O&M plan to monitor and maintain the PV system over its lifetime, including cleaning, equipment maintenance, and performance monitoring.

Monitoring and Performance Optimization:

Implement a system for continuous monitoring and data collection to optimize the PV system's performance.

Identify and address any issues that may affect energy production.

Grid Connection and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA):

Finalize the grid connection process and sign a power purchase agreement (PPA) with a utility or energy buyer to sell the generated electricity.

Financial and Regulatory Reporting:

Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and any renewable energy credits or incentives that apply.

Handover and Documentation:

Compile all project documentation, including permits, approvals, and as-built drawings, and hand it over to the owner or operator.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement:

Engage with the local community and stakeholders to address concerns, provide information, and foster positive relationships.

Project Monitoring and Reporting:

Continuously monitor the project's performance and report on its energy production and financial results.

Decommissioning Plan:

Develop a plan for the eventual decommissioning of the PV project and the responsible disposal of equipment and materials.

Post-Construction Evaluation:

Conduct a thorough evaluation of the project's performance and assess its success against the initial feasibility study.
